Provide help and hope through charitable relief to the poor and distressed by personalized education, counseling, and support programs that reduce and avoid the burdens of financial crisis, debt stress, bankruptcy, and their consequences.

Alliance is:
North Carolina’s largest home foreclosure prevention service, helping to keep thousands of families in their homes, saving their homes from foreclosure, and eliminating the negative effects on families, neighborhoods, and the larger community North Carolina’s largest volume HUD approved housing counseling agency, providing all types of professional housing counseling services, including rental counseling, transitional counseling, pre and post purchase counseling, HECM or Reverse Mortgage counseling, as well as foreclosure prevention counseling. North Carolina’s highest producer of Hardest Hit Fund or N. C. Foreclosure Prevention Fund loans, providing nearly 1,800 financially distressed homeowners loans to save their homes from foreclosure due to unemployment resulting from no cause of their own; providing nearly $30 million in benefits to their families and communities, plus the elimination of the negative effects of foreclosure, such as the drop in value of neighboring homes.North Carolina’s State Home Foreclosure Prevention Project (SHFPP) highest volume of agency-originated caseload, generating nearly 30% of the statewide total caseload, leveraging our large referral network to provide assistance to those in need. Largest area provider of Reverse Mortgage Counseling assistance, helping seniors to keep their homes and age-in-place. Partner with nearly 60 area nonprofits to annually provide several hundred financial workshops and thousands of individual personalized financial counseling and coaching sessions to help the financially distressed achieve stability and maintain competence in money matters.
